Super Cute

Sissy is finally getting hair, and so I’ve been experimenting with what to do with it. 

Grandma found these adorable bows at Walmart; it’s a headband and you can buy different bows that clip on. Some of them are almost bigger than Sissy’s head, well, maybe not quite. Still, they are super cute!

We lost one at the store the other day and Stinkpot asked everyone we saw if they had seen Sissy’s bow; which was just slightly embarrassing, and caused us to be the recipient of some strange looks! We never did find it, but it wasn’t from lack of trying!:)

Kittens

 My cat had kittens, two orange and two black. Everyday Stinkerpoo wants to go play with the kittens, and gives us a play by play on what the kittens are currently doing. Iv’e been impressed with him and the kittens.:) He has been trying very hard to be gentle with the “babies”, and likes to take them to their mommy “so they’re not sad”.  And the kittens for their part have been very patient with his little boy love and handling.

Sissy’s Lambie

Sissy, who has never really been interested in toys and would much rather play with pieces of cardboard or my phone, has finally fallen in love with a stuffed lamb. When we put it in the cart with her she just went bananas. I have to admit it’s pretty cute, and so is she!:)

MESSY

“Oh my goodness! Sissy is so so MESSY!!!” Munchkin ate, or should I say attempted to eat,an Oreo cookie. With a mess this big I hope at least some of it made it into her tummy.:) By the time Grandma and I finished cleaning her up my arms and shirt were covered in cookie, and Grandma even had cookie on her forehead!! Bubba was absolutely astonished at the mess his little sister was able to make.:)

Sharing

All the lessons of sharing that I have been trying to teach Stinkbug are finally beginning to sink in! The other day Munchkin was a little fussy and Bubba- who absolutely loves all things dinosaur- went and picked out several of his little “sissy sized” dinosaurs and brought them to her to play with. I think she was more interested in biting and throwing them, but I was very proud of him for sharing and for helping take care of Sissy. Maybe he really is listening when I tell him stuff.:)

First bike!

Stinkerpoo got his first bike!!! It’s a bumblebee transformer bike and it actually came with training wheels, which is good because I would never have been able to put them on myself! And boy, is he ever excited:) I’d been trying to find a way to encourage him to be more active and watch less movies and I definitely think this might be the answer. Already his legs are getting stronger, and he doesn’t get quite so “busy and worned out”. And yes, he does have a helmet he is required to wear while actually riding but it was “makin it too sweaty” so we took it off for the picture.

Hi, I’ve never posted a blog before, but my professor requires us to do this and so I thought I would share a little bit of my incredible, amazing and otherwise off the wall adventures of my life as a nanny- which is just a fancy way of saying chief bottom wiper, hug giver, and stand in while grandma is at work. I care for a four year old boy and a nine month old girl, and for some one who has not been around babies very much this has been a learning and growing experience.I’m Auntie and my children are Stinkpot and Munchkin.
